We haven't just been around the CX block — we built it. Building and protecting communities and supporting customers for nearly two decades.

We are the Mods!

Our Story

We started in 2007.

We were founded by a Silicon Valley lawyer who liked moderating message boards in her spare time for fun. (The WB's Superstar USA, anyone?)

She saw the potential of communities, of remote work, and of that thing called social media that was starting to catch fire.

Long story short: We've been kicking butt in content moderation, community management, and social media from the beginning. We're literally pioneers. We're still waiting for the rest of the industry to catch up.

We fixed customer support. Sorry/not sorry, call centers — you had your chance.

We started in the metaverse. Our original name was Metaverse Mod Squad (and still is in the UK). We still might be a bit ahead of the curve on that one …

We did it all remotely. We're the original distributed CX company. We built a network of Mods all over the globe.

We developed the Cubeless Secure Workspace to secure our remote operation, because nothing on the market was good enough. We built Passless because SSO is the foundation of secure identity — and identity, human or AI, is the question that matters now.

We're all in on supporting Extra Life. We hope you'll join us each November.

And if you visit us in Brooklyn, we'll be eating pizza at Juliana's, not Grimaldi's.

P.S. It's still fun!

Mods > Agents

Our Mods were never just agents filling seats. They choose their work because they care about it — so they stay, they know your world, and they bring judgment no script or model can fake.
